A Summary of What Full-Church Membership Means Here At Mayo:
Your full-membership in the church means that you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and have also assumed certain definite sacred responsibilities. It means being a worthy agent of God and an effective representative of the church. Hence, you must develop a growing understanding of what the church is and of what God expects of it.
You must keep on growing in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. You should be a learner in order to be a growing christian. This means that you must become informed and become actively involved in the work of your local church.
To this end, be sure to attend regularly, worship services, Bible study, Sunday school and Prayer meetings to enrich your spiritual growth.
The church has great work to do and it cannot be done without you. Don't neglect your duty. Be faithful. Be helpful. Make yourself worthwhile. Do your share at least, and double your share if necessary and possible. Become the hands, feet, lips, and body of Christ so that you, like Him, will be about our Father's business.
You are a christian steward and an evangelist. You have the obligation of caring for the good name of your church by telling others about its enlivening, strengthening and enriching programs. Remember that there is great rejoicing in God's Kingdom when you pray for, seek and help the unsaved to receive salvation and also bring new members into the full-fellowship of your local church.
To all of our website guests who do not have a church home, we cordially invite you to come and visit our Sunday Worship service, because this might just be the church that God's Spirit is leading you to, for the enrichment of your personal life.
